I can accept death. I know that everyone will die one day. But I just cannot accept the way these girls died that day. It is painful to those who hear about it. I cant even imagine what the girls felt. I wish them SOB's burn in Hell when they get executed. I hope God never forgives them. Ten years since these beautiful young girls were stolen from their families. Ten years today since their lives were brutally ended and their loved ones hearts were ripped apart. Jennifer would be 24 years old and Elizabeth would be 26....what would they have become had this not happened? Would they have gone to college....gotten a job.....married and had beautiful children of their own? The world was robbed of their futures and we will never know what promise they held.

There is nothing to say that could bring release from the pain of losing Elizabeth and Jenny. I am a mother of 2 teenage girls and have been coming to this memorial site for the past 4 years. When my daughters get angry they can't walk somewhere etc. I remind them of these beautiful young girls. I have read about Jenny & Elizabeth with a heavy heart. Being the parent of 2 young children, I can only imagine with complete horror what you have been through - and must still be going through. A few years ago my brother and his wife lost their 17 month old son. The whole family witnessed and shared the grief; we watched solid relationships pushed and stretched to their limits. We watched hearts being broken. What brings this all home to me is the fact that my dear nephew died of an illness; he was nestled in a warm, dry and comfortable hospital, surrounded by expert help and medical attention. His parents had a chance to say goodbye, to hold him as the last thread of life left his little body. It tears me to shreds knowing that you did not have the chance to say goodbye, and that your dear sweet girls spent their last moments in such a cruel, wicked and depraved situation. I don't know you, I’m sure we are safe in saying that we will never meet. However, I want you to know that Jenny's & Elizabeth’s story has touched me deep inside. Oh my!!!  :(   I don't think I can even imagine. Something like this shouldn't ever happen to anyone. There are no words that I think can comfort your hearts for your loss. The only comfort that could ever come to your heart is the wish and hope that your daughters could've come home that night safe and alive. I cannot fathom what your daughters must have felt in those awful hours before their deaths but to know that they had one another and that they didn't have to suffer that awful tragedy alone might have helped them find the strength to fight. Just a quick note to say "I am so sorry for the loss of these beautiful girls!" My father was beat to death March 21st, 2003, and I am barely coping with the way it happened. There were 5 witnesses that just let him lay there & watched him be beaten in the head with a huge stick. We are sad, but justice will one day be won. As a female in college, this story is an eye awakening. I give my grieving to both sides of the family. My close cousin was raped and killed in California, and at the very moment her trial is going on. I myself, survivor of a rapist, feel that it is a blessing for me to keep striving to what I know what to do best. Be encouraged. Your daughters send a living warning all "be aware of who is around". My 4 natural and 2 step daughters have been influenced to live more safely as a result of that horrible incident. I hope no one takes the following as an intrusion.

The Bible says everyone has an appointed time to die, and after that we each face judgment. (Hebrews 9:27) Just think, those guys already have their names in GOD's appointment book and somehow they will be on time to that meeting. So don't worry to much about the death penalty debate because it doesn't really matter how it turns out, THEY WILL FACE HIM. The girls went to their own meeting time with GOD although I promise HE did NOT approve of the way they were sent to HIM. HE accepted them with loving open arms. If you parents are on GOD's terms when your appointment comes you will see them again. I plan to meet them when I go.

What a tribute to these young women. I am a Criminal Justice major, and I was looking for research on the death penalty when I stumbled across this site. I often wonder why there are no stories put forth about the lives of victims and the effect their lives had on their community, family and friends. Instead, the only information I can find is how they died...and even more information about their killers. When my fiancée passed away in 2001, it sounds silly...but my main concern was that he didn't know anyone in heaven. His parents had died of cancer that year too...but they had been divorced for 28 years. So I pictured him there with arguing parents. Then I remembered that our friend had passed away in 2000...so he really wasn't only with strangers in heaven.
