I just read this for the first time and of course it brought me to tears. I am sooo sorry for your loss and hope those boys NEVER are released. I have two girls of my own and can't imagine the grief you have all suffered due to the horrendous acts of these monsters. I, too, suffered a great loss ten years ago. The murder of my best friend, Denise. I now support the death penalty, not only for the murderer of Denise but for all who are self righteous enough to think they can take a human life. Please know that my thoughts and tears are with you and your families and I will never forget this article. I think Charlene is a godsend for all who have suffered a loss as tremendous as yours and mine.

My heart mourns the loss of these 2 sweet, beautiful girls. I am 22, and cannot imagine the depths of hell these girls lived that night. May they rest in peace, enjoying the gift of heaven together. May the souls of those 6 evil "men"- they don't deserve the title - be raped, sodomized, and orally assaulted till the end of time. I happened to stumble across this ungodly crime committed towards these beautiful people and I pray that you will someday receive the blessing of the removal of pain and anger you are sure to be suffering. I live in Canada. A country where killers and rapists can enjoy golf courses, sterios and coloured telivisions in their prison facilities. They rarely stay in prison very long. Sentences are short here, compared to Texas. I am deeply saddened with Jenny and Elizabeth's story. It needs to be read though. In Canada our courts, media, and public education system is completely taken over by leftists. Capital punishment will never be instituted in Canada again, short of a revolution, and yes repeat murderers and rapists do murder and rape again up here.

Lilly, I also know the Villarreal family. I have known them for 20 years. I remember Raul as a young boy. While I feel sorry for Raul's parents (I know they did not raise a murderer) and his siblings, I cannot feel too sorry for Raul. He made his choice. At least his parents have been able to visit him these last 10 or so years. Jenny and Elizabeth's parents have not had that. All they have had is pain and anguish. I am the parent of 2 daughters. My sister liked to run after police when their lights would go on; well one night we followed police and stopped at the railway tracks... I saw a leg of a dead girl and her family crying out. I am so so sorry to have read what I just did and my heart goes out to both families. I live in Ontario Canada and the death penalty is something we need real bad. I just had my father shot in a home invasion in April 2003 which almost killed him and for the 3 who were caught 7 years, they serve 1/3 of that and out while my father is still doing rehab... I came across this web site while doing research for a term paper on whether or not the death penalty should be legal. I was in favor of it before I read this. GOD bless the families of these victims. As we both read the story behind the 5 men sentence to the death penalty we both began to cry. I am against the death penalty but when I read this I had second thoughts. the articles touched our hearts to the utmost fullest extent. I cried as I read. I recently had to sit through the trial of my grandmother's 30 year old murderer (he was 19 at the time). The brutality and violence done by one person to another are beyond my comprehension. Thanks for sharing this story. I will pray for the families every day.

As a student going into law enforcement I constantly end up at this website reviewing this case. Today I stumbled upon the names once again of the heartless criminals who did this to Jenny and Elizabeth. I went to the Huntsville penitentiary website and saw that you can write to these murderers. One of the guys in my opinion believes that he was not given justice. Well let me ask this, were Jenny and Elizabeth treated with the dignity they deserve? These heinous individuals want people to write to them and feel sorry for them but they had no thought or feeling for these girls when they did that to them. How can someone be so heartless to listen to these girls beg for their life and still mutilate them that way? They should have the same things done to them they did to those girls so they know the true pain these girls went through. These guys should not even still be sitting on death row - they should've died a long time ago.

I have read the story and I think that the people that did this are the lowest of the low. They really have no respect for the female gender and with that being said, the actions that they made they really have no respect for the human race. I think that the brother that turned them in should feel really good about the fact that he turned in the killers. I'm so sorry for the families' loss. I wish that never happened. I was just scanning the internet for a pro and con essay on the death penalty when I came upon this web site. I would like to thank the families for sharing their stories. As I have read through this I couldn't believe what these monsters did. In my opinion I wish that these men could go through exactly what your daughters had to go through, except worse! I think that the death penalty in this case was too easy! I found this website by accident on the internet when looking for a certain topic for college. I couldn't sleep tonight and decided to look and read the stories of all these innocent victims. This one has deeply touched me and i couldn't imagine a worse thing to have to go through as a parent or family member. No words can ease your pain, no happiness can ever remove the sadness that lies in your hearts, no happy memories will ever overcome the one from that dreadful morning when the first initial fear set in about these two beautiful girls gone missing. As a parent myself, the thought of a child taken so horribly and heinously away from me not only bought me to tears but to deep sadness for the families left behind to struggle with this every day. Murderers not only steal the innocent life of their victims they leave the victims' families with a lifetime of unhappiness and deep thoughts of  'if only'. I live in Australia, where the death penalty is illegal, it is often said that America takes the perpetrators right to redeem their actions away from them due to the death sentence, but I argue that easily because when your two innocent fun-loving teenagers were so horribly taken away from you by these men, they gave up all right to redeem their actions. Your children had a right to live, they had many lovely days of growing up and experiencing everything that these men chose to throw away they day they entered into a gang circle. They chose a life of crime, they chose their actions, now they deserve to cop the punishment. My thoughts will always be with you, and may god in some way help you with your very sad loss. No words can describe my pain for the families of those two beautiful girls right now.
