But, I would like to let you know a little about Rhonda. As for Danny, will he ever get what he deserves? I don’t think so - it’s been held up in federal district court in Birmingham too long. I personally don't think he will pay for what he did to Rhonda Hardin. When he murdered Rhonda he took a lot from me. My niece, my very best and trusting friend, my daughter, and my sister. Rhonda loved to skate. She loved lemons - she'd eat a whole bag by herself. Her paw-paw used to hide her lemons and it would make her so mad. Her favorite song was sad eyes by; Robert john. If you ever get a chance to listen to it, or maybe get your radio station play it for you one day, it’s a beautiful song. She loved to sing and dance. She wanted to be a cheerleader. I would show her the jumps she would have to do and the flips and some of the cheers of course I wasn't but 19 at the time. She loved children. Jan, 83 my husband and I was separated at that time - I was pregnant with Dwayne and staying with my parents. Dwayne always had to sleep between Rhonda and I. Dwayne my son would always wake Rhonda up in the mornings giving her hugs and kisses and she would always turn over and give him hugs and kisses back. Then she would get up and start getting ready for school. She couldn’t wait to see him walk. Dwayne was born jan.21, 82. 3 days after he started walking, Danny murdered her. I don't understand; Danny has been on death row for 22yrs. Now he has already gotten married to Beth Jennings, and probably fixing to get married again. Rhonda never had her first love, first boyfriend. She never got to get married or even get to see her niece or nephews; she never even got to have children of her on. She never got to see all her cousins growing up she loved so much. But, Danny never gave Rhonda a choice and by his own choice, the choice he gave Rhonda was death. She had a life, why couldn't he let her live it? All of this is in the courts and I would like to know why this is taking so long? Rhonda has lost 23 birthdays and he keeps living. He has taken away the only one I could trust to talk too. We talked about everything. She was in a beauty pageant when she was 4 yrs. And won first alternate. She was in another one at school but, there all rigged. We have to show pictures to the younger children. And the only way we get to visit her is at the graveyard. His family can go visit him. She was a beautiful girl and the thickest long brown hair and that smile of hers she could walk into a room and smile and her whole face would light up the room. I just wonder if it was one of there children in federal district court in Birmingham or any other courts has had to go thru what this family has? I believe deep down in my heart Danny Bradley [stepfather] would definitely be taken care of by instead the state of Alabama but, they want to keep taken care of him. But, we shouldn't have too. Why don't murder victims have any rights? I guess because, their dead and cant speak we can only do it for them. The last time Rhonda and I had a good talk. It was dec.28, 83.my niece renea, and I walked from hood st. All the way to Barlow st. That's where Judy and Danny was living. Renea, Rhonda and I had the closest bond any 3 people could have we knew everything about each other. I talked to them about anything they wanted to know. I was always honest with them no matter what. I don't have Rhonda anymore and I hardly get to talk to renea. Rhonda was 12, renea was 13, at that time I was only 20.they spent a week with me. They have spent a week with me before, fixing our hair, putting on make-up and playing on the old football field in front of my mother’s house. Renea said that was the last good memory she had, the walk we took. We were so silly. As for me I had many memories of her. I wish I had someone I could trust now. But, Rhonda’s gone and now my mother's no longer living. My niece Lisa I always thought we would be as close as Rhonda and I. I love her very much but, the trust isn't there anymore, I wish it was. So now I keep my mouth shut and don't talk to anyone anymore...trust no one...

It's a little scary to think that you really never know someone. I just don't think you can ever heal from something like this. CommentsI am so sorry. It hurts deep inside my heart that things like this happen. I was unable to have my own children so i adopted two boys. I always ask myself, why do bad things happen to sweet little children that did not deserve to literally have their life stolen from them. My mother loved children. Her life was stolen from her on November 20, 2001. I am going to adopt a little girl soon, and she won't be here to share it with me. I know you don't know me but just same, I am very sorry.
