First I want to say I am sorry for your loss. Patricia Green-- one of the victim's on these pages was murdered in front of her 3 year old son, also by stabbing. I am his stepmom and he deals with this tragedy everyday, he is in counseling and that helps him cope with being an eyewitness. I know how your siblings feel. This is probly the 3 time i have wrote on here. I resently lost my best friend to a hanging and another one to hart cancer and bone cancer. I am now going into 8th grade. I have done alot of reports on rape and abuse (expecially on children) but Deanna you were never abused you mother was by thoese horable men and I do cry and feel said because you your brothers, sisters and you watched your mother get harmed no one should have to go through that. I was researching Horace Dunkin and Lynn McCurry and found your web site. I had the "unpleasure" of meeting Mr. Dunkin years prior to his crime. He wasn't much to meet, mainly from my encounter he was a dope head living in Warrior. I remember your mom's murder and can't understand why on a couple of other web sites I've found while researching Mr. Dunkin that they bring up the fact that he had a low I.Q., and would more than likely not have received the death penalty had the jury known of this. I am pro death penalty, esp. in cases such as your mothers. Mr. Dunkins mental capacity was apparently not limited when he raped and murdered your mother, so why should that have any possibly had any impact on his sentence. And I can't figure why his accessory didn't get the death penalty as well. I know you miss your mom and I can't imagine experiecning such a loss in that manner. May God continue to bless you and keep watch over you.
