Hello, Sorry to hear of your loss. I lost a daughter and a brother. And I know how wondering what, why, who etc goes. My heart goes out to your family. I came across this page doing a search, for a story I seen on T.V. There was a Pychic Rosemarie Kerr that helped with the case. Not sure I have the right story here. However if I do, I hope you can maybe help my family. We are searching for answers as to what happened to my brother. His death case was re-opened, but that's about all they have done. Eight years ago today Jim's remains were found - after 18 weeks of heartbreak and a missing son. The pain of losing our son does not got away. We recently lost his wonderful Therapy Dog - Doc, who has been our constant companion since 1998. We appreciate all the support of our family and friends. Without this we couldn't have survived.

When I read your e mail I got up from the computer and walked into the living room where my 5 year old son is watching TV, locked in it's tractor beam and oblivious to the world. I put him in my lap, kissed his head and held his little hand in mine until he got annoyed. You truly have to relish every second you have with the one's you love. I was searching the internet for information on my Uncle James Connor. James was deaf, he was killed by a motorcyclist whilst crossing the road, that lead me to your site, it touched something within me so I write. I also lost a family member close to me, my eldest sister Catherine, she was only 21 years old, stabbed repeatedly by her husband and died in hospital when I was 14 years. They say time is a great healer, but its not, memories fade, good times are more Reminiscent than bad, I think of my Catherine everyday. What would she have been like, how many kids would she have had, what would she be wearing, driving, who would her friends have been now, would she approve of my live, would she have loved my kids as much as I loved her. But time doesn't heal, it just nulls the pain. Your not alone, but hopefully someday, I will meet my Catherine again, I will see the clothes she wears, whom her friends are, and did she approve, and hopefully you will to. Jim was taken from us 7 years ago today. Finally, last week - justice prevailed. A Groton. CT man was found guilty Thursday in the 1998 beating and killing of an Essex businessman and yacht captain but escaped a possible death sentence when a jury could not find him guilty of capital felony. A 12-member New London Superior Court jury found Jeffrey “Monk” Smith, 32, guilty of first-degree manslaughter, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery and felony murder, meaning a death occurred during the course of a robbery and kidnapping. On all of the charges, Smith faces 150 years in prison. He will be sentenced Oct. 14. The trial began July 27 with jury deliberations starting last Friday. Abin Britton and Gregory Pierre, both of New London, also were charged in James Connor's death. They were both sentenced to 85 years in separate trials.

I am a local and followed the case of your son closely. Although it pleased me that this vermin who so brutally murdered your son were apprehended, it troubled me greatly reading of their lies to the court and complete lack of remorse for their vicious crime. I don't know if I could go on--I applaud your courage and strength. I am close friends of Sherie & George Walber--they too lost their son, Eric Walber to a barbaric and senseless murder. As usual, he was a great kid--honor student, all-state football player, and was working delivering pizzas when he was attacked, beaten, and run over with his own pickup by the four no-good, shiftless and worthless punks who jumped him. Amazingly, one of them played football with him and was afraid he would "finger" him for the robbery. Now he is facing lethal injection at Angola (Louisiana's state prison and not a good place to hang out)--by the time he has his date with the "needle" I am sure he will be glad to take it as an escape from that hell-on-earth. Eric's case was featured on "America's Most Wanted". John Walsh and crew are to be commended for the great service they provide to our nation. I know for a fact that their broadcast of Eric's murder and it's details brought 4 PUNKS to a timely justice. Be my voice is a poem wrote in memory of Paul and other people that has been murdered for no apparent reason. The reason I am writing this is to let you know the poem starts and ends. I am so sorry for the loss of your son. I too know the pain of losing a son. My son, Phillip, was murdered on October 18, 1998 at the Hilton Hotel in Atlanta, Ga. The pain never goes away. I'm truly sorry at the loss of your son. I fell upon this site because I felt outrage over the pleas to spare convicted murderer Beazley from the death penalty scheduled for today and wanted simply to see what the internet had to offer regarding information concerning his fate. Anyway, I don't mean to bring up other horror stories...KNOW THAT YOUR SON IS NOW RESTING IN PEACE WITH THE LORD.

I am truly sorry for lost. I lost my stepbrother. He was murdered, I was over seas when it happened and sometimes its still hard to believe. And recently my husband was killed by a drunk driver.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my 27 year old sister on April 2, 2000 in West Virginia. She was beat to death and then burned in a home a mile from my parents home. She was 5 months pregnant at the time. So, I do know your pain! It is unbelievable how cruel people can be. My heart is with you.

My sister's murderer spent the last year on house arrest two miles from my family. It never ends does it.

Just writing to say what a wonderful site you have made for Jim. He is a very good looking young man and did not deserve what has happened to him. It has been a privilege visiting Jim site you can feel the love all around I must say this is probably the 1st time in this site that I have not cried constantly. I am an Australian and started web surfing death row about 4 weeks ago & found this site, It has followed me around all that period of time. I feel a little foolish that when I 1st started reading about death row I did feel sorry for these people but not anymore. These people deserve what they get they mostly cry hard done by & are innocent, They have had years to live and correspond with loved ones their loved ones are able to be with them in their last moments, What did the victims & their families get nothing no last moments together, In some cases not knowing their loved ones last resting places these are all privileges the condemned family have, Some victims murdered for a couple of dollars going to the shops what is humanity coming to. I did not believe in the death penalty prior to reading these sites. these people do not deserve sympathy from anybody this should be reserved for the victims & their families. I am terrified for my own family children & grandchildren not knowing what is around the corner. We do not have the death penalty in Australia anymore but I think in some cases it should be reintroduced for murder. Our crimes here seem to be on the increase. Young people murdering young people for no apparent reason, It seems to me that we live in a crazy society these people who commit these terrible crime for no reason should but put down like the animals that they are, What do they bring to society nothing only fear. Sorry to get on my soap box I feel I have desecrated Jim's site. I wish you all well & believe that Jim is smiling down on you all

My heart goes out to your family. My children's father was 34 and on a Fishing/Camping trip at Timothy Lake, OR. May 29, 1998. His car was found burnt over an embankment. His remains were found in a fire pit approx 5 miles away over a year later. Through DNA testing the authorities finally ID'd my best friend & Father of my children. It has been nearly 3 years and we have nothing.. The police are not real helpful.... Anyway I would like to talk to you as this is all new to me... Jimmy was the greatest dancer and the most fun in all the world. He was the cousin I always got in trouble with and the one who could make me laugh until my sides hurt!! He was Paul Lynne and Al Jolson singing "Mammy" in the spotlight of the boat going down the Barge Canal. He believed in Jack Flappy as much as I did. HOW I FEEL FOR U WE LOST OUR ONLY CHILD SON ,CHRISTIAN 2YRS AGO ON 26TH APRIL HE WAS BORN 26/4/1979 YES DIED IN HOSPITAL ON HIS 20TH BIRTHDAY. ATTEMPTED SUICIDE, REVIVED AND WAS ON LIFE SUPPORT FOR 13 DAYS BEFORE LEAVING US ON HIS 20TH BIRTHDAY. GUESS WE ARE LUCKY IN WAYS TO HAVE ONLY ONE DAY TO COPE WITH EACH YEAR. THE FIRST ANNIV BEING HIS 21ST WENT QUIET WELL BUT NOT SURE WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO THIS TIME. KNOW ALL HIS FRIEND WILL WANT TO DO SOMETHING AGAIN AS THEY STILL VISIT WHICH IS GREAT. YES WE MISS OUR LOVED ONES EVERY DAY EVERY MINUTE BUT WITH THE HELP OF MED I AM NOW BACK AT WORK DOING RECEPT CLERICAL JUST 4 DAYS 9-3PM NO FRIDAYS AND LOVE IT.
