For my little girls who never got a chance to really know him.
One year ago today, your daddy was shot to death. He was talking to me one minute and gone the next. How I tried that day to protect you from the horror of what happened until I knew for sure he was gone. How do you tell a little baby her daddy died? How do you explain murder? No, daddy wasn't sick. No, he wasn't in an accident. Somebody in this world that you live in and used to feel safe in killed your daddy for no reason. How do I ever explain that? Somehow, we have survived this first year. Nanna is so sad. Uncle Sammy is hurting so much. Nothing we can do can make them feel better. Life is hard for us girls without daddy, yet, we seem to keep going, don't we? Knowing that he is watching from his angel post in Heaven, we make it okay. He is always there. Every game, every school concert, every song you sing, he is there to see it and hear it and he loves you. Your daddy loved you more than anything in this world, all of you. No matter what happened, he loved his girls. I will continue to tell his stories to you three little ones. So much that you get sick of it and enough that you ask for more. Brianna remembers his funeral right now. She was only 3 and she remembers. Kristen tells us funny stories like how daddy died his hair green once because she dared him to. And Taylor still jabbers about dada all the time. I think we've done a good job remembering and creating memories of him this last year and we won't stop now that it's been a year. Your daddy was someone worth remembering. All the hours he spent holding you when you were babies, they will never be forgotten. How he would just hold you just to be near you and smell you and escape from the world in the scent of his tiny child. I won't forget and I will help you remember. I love you girls so much. I want so much for you. I will always be thankful for the gifts your father gave me. The gift of not one, but 3 lives to forever bless me. I can never repay him for that. All I can do is do my best to remember who he was and to help you become the women he would want you to be. I love you Kristen. I love you Brianna. I love you Taylor. I've also found out. My 19 year old daughter has been missing 7 years.
They have statements she has been murdered and who did it but no body, no case. I hope you soon get the justice you your children and Donald's family deserves.
