I guess I still can't believe she's gone. When we were in our early teens she and my sister were best friends. Amanda was like a little sister to me. We teased and tormented each other like only siblings can do. So many fond memories of fun times we had together: watching movies, horsing around in the pool, Sasha having her puppies, chasing the bat around the house on Main St, etc. After the rift formed between Amanda and my sister, we lost contact. I guess I always thought our paths would cross some day and we would be friends again, but unfortunately her time in this world was cut short. Rest in Peace. Know that you are loved and missed!

I was Amanda's elementary school physical education (PE) teacher @ the Benjamin Cosor elementary school in Fallsburg, NY. I was in inexplicable shock @ the news of her senseless & horrific death. Amanda was a good & caring student, very positive - always doing her best. I was also Amanda's Aunt Randy's PE teacher in elementary school & taught her brother Ian & her cousins Alex, Matt & Jesse. I had the good fortune to have had Amanda's Mom, Lorri, substitute-teach with me when a PE person was absent. These experiences afforded me the opportunities to appreciate the influences surrounding, and, at times, bombarding Amanda. It is no wonder, Lorri, that Amanda became such a compassionate & insightful young woman. May the Lord's higher spirit continue to guide those who have known or who have learned of her selfless & tenacious spirit & may this guidance be directed at the challenges upon which Amanda would have set her sights. Hey you. It's been a year since I last wrote you. "your boys" were about to be 5. Well, they're 6 today! They're getting so big. They're in 1st grade. Let's try this again. I wrote last night but for some reason it didn't go through. So "your boys" will be 5 years old in 2 days, man time sure flies by. They began kindergarten last Thursday and Christian already missed Monday! 12 stitches! Like father like son, boys will be boys. I think I almost got to see that vein on Brian you always made fun about (he was hollering for the car keys). At least he didn't freeze like me when Mathew got stitches in NY and Kippy had to come clean him up before we took off to the ER. Brenda got stitches on her tongue in June to remove a little tumor (but of course you already new all that). So the only one left in this house to get stitches is Emilio. It has been a year and 8 months since I've written. That doesn't mean I have forgotten you. I watch the "movie" when i want to feel closer to you and i talk to you all the time. especially when I'm riding in my car. Once in a while I can swear you are kicking my seat from behind (I told mom about that when she came ). You'll be happy to know that "your boys" are starting to dress different. Being the same is no longer a big deal for them. They got to wear one of the last things you bought them in December. They grew out of them quick!!! They took pictures with Santa in that outfit. I haven't visited your site in a long time, I still have a hard time believing. Brian's birthday is coming up and he won't be receiving a card from you, but I know you will be with him. The other day when we were watching the coverage about the tragedy he turned to me and asked, "Now you know who's up there taking care of all those people, right?" It was funny because although I hadn't said anything I was thinking the same thing. The boys have been sick and Christian might have asthma, as you know I too have it and I pray to god (you can help in that department also, but instead of praying do some talking) that he doesn't. Well, we can't satisfy your not wanting "your boys" to be dressed the same this time because as you have seen they have to be and have everything the same! We will love you, think of you, and still make fun of you now and for ever.
